GCam Boost

Description

An LSPosed module that lets you use some newer Pixel exclusive GCam features on some older Pixels. Also brings back the legendary Photo Sphere!

Tested on Pixel 8 Pro with GCam 11.0.073.961838058.30.

⚠️ Video Boost cloud processing won't work if you use Unlimited Storage (Pixel XL spoof).

Unavailable features are hardware dependent. If you know any workarounds, please let me know via pull request or issue.

Supported devices

  • Pixel 8 Pro
  • Pixel 9 Pro series
  • Pixel 10 Pro series
  • Pixel 11 Pro series (for now the only benefit is Photo Sphere)

Other Pixel Devices

Some features like Camera Coach or Quick Access Controls should work on any Pixel device.

Installation

  1. Install the APK.
  2. Enable the GCam Boost module in LSPosed Manager.
  3. Ensure Pixel Camera (com.google.android.GoogleCamera) is selected in the module's scope.
  4. Restart Pixel Camera.

Added Quick Access Controls, works on Pixel Camera 11.
Enabled Photo Sphere for Pixel 11 series.

Removed Auto Best Take & Motion Photo due to instability.
Increased minSDK to 36 (Android 16) because Pixel Camera 10 is required.

Added Pro-Res Zoom flags.
For Pixel 8 Pro it enables 20x zoom in Video Boost mode. I don't recommend using more than 5x zoom as it won't switch to Tele lens. Up to 5x is fine though. It also enabled up to 5x zoom in 8K Video Boost mode. 0.5x is broken for Video Boost.

Pixel 9 Pro users, please tell me if this version enables 0.5x lens in Night Sight/Video Boost or it's broken for you too.
